I have taken a variety of continuing education classes, including a math course at Baldwin Wallace, The History of African-Americans in Cleveland at Cleveland State University. I took fingerspelling (ASL) class Cuyahoga Community College, and some have some Bible credits/workshops that I have completed.
Experience
With my Journalism degree, I also also specialized in History and Sciences. I worked for a newspaper in Ashland, Ohio, for roughly seven years as a writer and editor. During my time at the paper, I had a stint as a playground aide at a local school. Since I enjoyed being with the children so much, I decided to go back to school to get my Master's Degree in Education at OSU Mansfield and have been teaching now for around 15 years. I am certified in teaching elementary education, 1-8th grades, and have a current teaching certificate. I also have a certificate with the Association of Christian School International. I have had experience in both low-socioeconomic, urban settings, as well as private schools. I would like to be a tutor because I have free time in the summer, and would like to use it to help others and supplement my family's income.

Hobbies
I have a variety of hobbies. I have been playing basketball for years. I also have played guitar and performed in various settings. I have given guitar lessons as well. I am a juggler also, and I like to read non-fiction historical books, particularly about the Civil Rights Movement, WWII , the U.S. presidents and musicians. I have two sons who are at the grade school where I teach, Valley Christian Academy. Along with my wife, we enjoy hiking in the Metroparks. We have two dogs and four cats.
